INL shows commitment to Idaho businesses
COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho — Today, Idaho National Laboratory is a primary sponsor for the 22nd annual Idaho Business Opportunity Conference hosted by the Idaho Department of Commerce.
Stacey Francis, INL Small Business Program manager, will lead a conference workshop highlighting ways Idaho small businesses can target their best commercial practices to the lab. By providing insight into the laboratory's vision and programs, this workshop will introduce some key marketing strategies for Idaho businesses that wish to assist the lab in accomplishing its missions.
As INL's Small Business Program manager, Francis educates the small business community about the programs, projects and opportunities at the laboratory. INL purchased $463 million worth of goods and services in Fiscal Year 2010. Over $147 million was spent within the state of Idaho.
The sponsorship and active participation in the Idaho Business Opportunity Conference is an important part of INL's small business program outreach initiatives.
"Small businesses are a key component in achieving mission success at INL and in the growth of the lab," Francis said. "As Idaho's laboratory, we target Idaho small businesses and shape their best commercial practices to help INL."
