INL Site facilities afternoon work schedules only for essential personnel

IDAHO FALLS - All INL Site contractors curtailed work this morning at desert facilities due to hazardous road conditions. Transportation for essential personnel to Site locations will resume this afternoon with buses departing regular pick up locations beginning at 4:50 p.m. today. These include essential personnel for CWI, BEA, NRF, SMC, MFC and AMWTP.

Earlier today, transportation was coordinated from Site facilities for employees to return to town. Workers in their own vehicles convoyed with snow plows and INL buses to ensure safe transport for employees.

INL Emergency Operations Center has coordinated the afternoon transportation with the Idaho Department of Transportation for safe passage.

Essential personnel have been identified and coordinated with contractors, including security, snow removal crews and some others. At this time, in-town work locations remain open. Employees with offices in town who can work from those offices today, are encouraged to do so.
