The Procurement organization and staff support Idaho National Laboratory's (INL) mission to become the preeminent nuclear research, development and demonstration laboratory and a major center for national security technology development and demonstration by providing needed products and services, at the best value, that meet the required quality and delivery. As such, we seek suppliers who are reliable, cost-effective, efficient and safe.
In 1995, INL established a Voluntary Protection Program (VPP) to promote and ensure a safe and healthful work site, free of injury and illness. Businesses desiring to perform work at INL must commit to participate in the laboratory's Voluntary Protection Program.
Through our aggressive Small Business Program, we provide significant opportunities to small, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, and minority companies to establish a successful and prosperous relationship with INL.
- INL is committed to meaningful involvement of small businesses (including HUBZone small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a)-certified small business, women-owned small businesses, veteran-owned small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses, and Native American small business concerns).
- INL establishes aggressive small business goals and uses creative avenues for achieving them.
- INL believes success is achieved through partnerships with regional and state economic development and small business organizations and programs, the U.S. Department of Energy, and small and large businesses nationwide.
- INL remains open and honest with information regarding its small business opportunities and volume.
