RSAC

System Requirements

For a successful installation of RSAC 7, your computer must meet the following recommended system requirements:

  • Windows 2000, Windows XP, VISTA (32 bit) or Windows 7 (32 bit)
  • Administrative Privileges on the system
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or higher
  • Pentium class PC (200 MHz or higher recommended)
  • 32 megabytes of RAM or greater
  • Video card capable of displaying 16 bit color or greater
  • Super VGA monitor (with the screen resolution set to at least 800 x 600, small fonts setting)

If RSAC is installed on a Windows VISTA machine, you may receive an error message when you attempt to run RSAC. This problem stems from VISTA’s increased security measures. The workaround is to install RSAC into a directory that is not under the Program Files folder (which is the default for the RSAC installation). It is best to uninstall RSAC first, and then run through the installation process for RSAC again. When the installation asks you which directory you would like to install to, be sure to choose a different directory (e,g., C:\RSAC). Otherwise right click on the desktop icon for RSAC and select Properties. Change the software to run as administrator and apply.

The RSAC-7 manual indicates that input files in text format can be created and run, yet the tools menu does not appear to be complete. I don't see how to run a batch job from an ASC file. Is there a patch to correct this problem?

I am working on validating the software on out computers here at Bettis Lab and have a couple of questions.
    1. Where is RSAC saving the files? The options menu no longer let me determine the output location.
    2. Where is the "Run Batch" option? It is mentioned in section 3.1.2 of the manual but I cannot locate it in the software. I am attempting to run the program using the ASCII files that I developed for RSAC 6.2. Any help would be appreciated.

The User's Manual are currently files under the "download" link. I would eliminate the download link and file User Manual's under "Product Information". Also, where is the User manual for V5.2, which is the code of record for ATR?
