Policies Governing Marketing

The U.S. Department of Energy and Battelle Energy Alliance (BEA) believe that fair and effective competition is the most effective way to obtain the best products and services at the best prices. In keeping with this belief, and in the spirit of fairness, BEA does not allow marketing of future services by subcontractor employees while working under an existing subcontract. This type of activity not only represents a violation of acceptable business practice, but also could result in "unallowable costs" under the existing subcontract. BEA requests your cooperation in eliminating any marketing efforts within the confines of the INL unless and until it is authorized by the Procurement and Property Division.

If you are aware of this type of activity being done on site, please call the Supply Chain Management contact listed below.

We appreciate your continued support and cooperation regarding this matter.

Environmental Excellence

One of the INL's strategic objectives is to develop public trust and confidence in INL and nuclear technology, and to demonstrate worldleading safety, environmental, and operational performance.

To support this mission, vision and strategic objectives, it is INL's environmental policy to conduct research, development and demonstration for energy and national security in a manner that protects and preserves human health and the environment and is in full compliance with applicable environmental laws, regulations, and other requirements. We implement this policy by integrating environmental requirements, pollution prevention, continual improvement into our work planning and execution, and taking actions to minimize the environmental impacts of our operations. We establish and communicate environmental responsibilities, provide environmental training to our workforce, and implement controls to mitigate environmental hazards.

All subcontractors are expected to adhere to INL's Environmental Policy.
