Amendment 000001 Issued for the Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research FOA (DE-FOA-0000998)

The pre-application phase for Program Supporting and Mission Supporting R&D for the Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research FOA is now closed. Other portions of the FOA will remain open until April 3, 2014.
The Department of Energy has issued an amendment (000001) for the Consolidated Innovative Nuclear Research (CINR) Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA). The purpose of this amendment is to update the FOA document in the following ways:
The following statement is added to Part VIII, paragraph "F" titled, "INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY DEVELOPED UNDER THIS PROGRAM"
"These Special Protected Data Statutes apply to only those applicants who cost share.";
Language has been updated in Part IV (B)(2)(b), under "Benefit of Collaborations". Letters of Authorization are only asked for on full applications and IRP applications. Letters of Authorization are in their own section and not addressed here;
An update to subscope RC-3 has been made to reflect two areas of interest -- "3. Modeling of irradiation damage of graphite" has been removed";
An additional workscope has been added under Appendix A. The new workscope is MS-NE-2 titled, "Control System Modernization for the Advanced Test Reactor Critical Facility (ATRC)";
Workscope IRP-RC has had the following text added at the end of the second paragraph:
"Note that fuel fabrication and/or qualification activities are not of interest and should NOT be included under this workscope."; and
Brad Williams has been removed as POC for workscope MS-NE (Benchmark Evaluations) and replaced by Rob Versluis.
