INL Seismic Monitoring Capabilities

INL Seismic Monitoring personnel have experience with acquiring data from remote sensors, transmitting data via various types of links (digital and analog), and integrating the data with various computer acquisition systems. Collectively, INL Seismic Monitoring personnel have skills and capabilities related to electronic circuitry design, instrumentation, field surveys, computer systems, programming languages, networking, and data analyses (see boxes below). These capabilities have been combined to develop customized systems that include acquisition of signals from remote sensors, telemetry, and integration with different computer systems. Additionally, INL Seismic Personnel have experience with analyzing earthquake data and other geophysical data. INL Seismic Monitoring personnel also have experience with regulatory requirements for the U.S. Department of Energy and have been involved in licensing activities for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission related to seismic and volcanic hazards.
