Oil and Gas Production Sensors and Controls

This project is developing a portfolio of sensing and measurement-system technologies. The overall project is broken into three general tasks:

    1. Development of a real-time crack-growth monitoring system
    2. Development of downhole tools capable of in-situ analysis of fluids
    3. Development of next-generation borehole seismic sources.

These technologies are in direct response to identified industry needs. The approach taken will provide products through proof-of-concept and/or engineering prototypes that will be moved into commercial prototypes with outside funding.
